About Us

Who are we?

We, Toys with a Purpose, are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing adapted toys and books so all children can play, learn, and grow. Our goal is to have an accessible lending library that is full of adapted toys and books for people of all abilities. Through Toys with a Purpose, we aim to create a lasting impact on the commonwealth of Kentucky. Additionally, this program serves as a platform to educate students from multiple levels about inclusion and accessibility through the process of adapting.

How long does it take for me to get my order?

Please allow us 3-5 business days to process your order and get it sent out through USPS.

Can you ship to a state other than Kentucky?

Unfortunately, currently we are not shipping out of Kentucky. If you have questions on how to adapt your own toy, reach out and we may be able to help with instructions or resources that you could use.

Do I have to provide debit/credit card information?

No! Our program is free to everyone. We will NEVER ask for any financial information in regards to anything in our program. Any monetary donations you wish to give will go directly through the University of Kentucky.

Do I have to pay if something breaks?

No, we still ask that you return the items and all pieces so we may try and fix it or recycle them.

What happens if we lose a toy?

That’s okay! We understand that kids may lose things, we just ask that you let us know! If you do end up finding the toy after telling us it is lost, please reach out and send the toy back.

Are any of the toys available for purchase?

In order to keep our library full to help as many people as possible, we are not selling any items at this time.

How long can I borrow an item for?

3 months is the maximum amount of time for a single borrower. If you want to extend the amount of time on your loan, please contact us.

If we do not receive any communication from the borrower and do not receive the toys back, we unfortunately will place you on a DO NOT BORROW list.
